What you see is just the start...
The initial phase of the Peninsula Aquatics Center is designed as the first step in a larger, thoughtfully planned recreational aquatics vision for northern Door County. While Phase 1 focuses on high-quality swimming lessons and training/rehab services through the two Endless Pool basins, there are two additional phases that will expand the facility into a comprehensive community hub.
Together, all phases outline a long-term vision to grow the aquatic center into a catalyst for water exploration and enjoyment, developed gradually and responsibly as community demand and funding allow.
Phase 2
Phase 2 includes plans for an outdoor 25-yard lap pool paired with an outdoor splash pad, creating vibrant summer amenities for families. This addition would provide traditional lap swimming opportunities, outdoor recreation space, and warm-weather programming that complements the year-round training offered indoors.
Phase 3
This phase envisions a full indoor 25-yard lap pool, traditional locker rooms, and flexible multi-purpose rooms that could support fitness classes, community programs, or meetings. It also includes an indoor play space, offering four-season recreation options for families.
